The Central American Integration System (SICA) is the institutional framework for Central American Regional Integration, created by the States of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama. Subsequently, Belize joined as full members in 2000 and, from 2013, the Dominican Republic. Its fundamental objective is the achievement of the integration of Central America, to constitute it as a Region of Peace, Liberty, Democracy and Development.
